SBM Offshore and Hawke Transit System join forces to revolutionise FPSO shipbuilding in China with Fast4Ward® programme

Fast4Ward® is a series of 7 FPSO vessels built for SBM Offshore in some of the most important shipyards in China (SWS & CMHI). The F4W vessel has more deck space than a standard FPSO, allowing it to accommodate up to 50,000 tonnes of operating platforms (subject to specific reservoir characteristics) and future tie-backs and storage of up to 2.3 million barrels. The FPSO has a service life of 30 years of uninterrupted operation, is suitable for internal turret, external turret or dispersed tie-back configurations. Hawke Transit System (HTS) was selected as the only brand specified for Multi Cable / Pipe Transit (MCT) by actively collaborating with SBM and the shipyard builders on this pioneering programme, FPSO Liza Destiny Fast4Ward H1468, with the design, manufacture and supply of our cable and pipe sealing system (MCT). The key benefits of Fast4Ward® are reduced energy supply cycle time, reduced project risk, improved quality and safety and improved profitability for deepwater projects. In addition, Fast4Ward™ incorporates digital solutions and emerging technologies, enabling continuous advancement of our solutions. The unique Fast4Ward™ execution model also improves the performance and resource optimisation of our project team. Hawke’s specification has been made for the entire F4W series for high compatibilities with project requirements due to its enormous benefits, which guarantee the highest level of performance and safety in terms of watertightness, fire resistance, reliability, ease of installation, serviceability and inspectability, while incorporating our HMS software for wall bushing design. To achieve this, SBM Offshore’s expertise has been harnessed to standardise the design and execution of projects, facilitating repeatability and efficiency. It is a Bureau Veritas and ABS approved design that features more space in the hull installations by lowering the modules for better access for maintenance, while improving safety and adapting to a wide market, with flexibility to suit the specific needs of a project. Throughout the project, the performance of the HAWKE transit system was excellent, SBM, Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Offshore (SWS) Shipyard, as well as CMHI Shipyard together with their subcontractors, successfully collaborated with HAWKE for good management and efficiency in relation to supply, documentation, monitoring service and sealing analysis, as well as product quality.
Cable and Pipe Seals for Royal Australian Navy AOR Ships

Hawke Transit System cables and pipes installed seals offer protection against multiple hazards, including EMP, EMI and resistance to detonating charges. The Supply-class ships, Auxiliary Oiler Replenishment (AOR), are two new ships built by the Spanish company Navantia for the Royal Australian Navy. The ships have been designed for different functions such as supplying dry cargo, fuel, food, water, ammunition, equipment and spare parts to naval or combat forces deployed during missions at sea. The new AOR vessels were purchased by the Royal Australian Navy to provide maritime support under Phase three of the SEA 1654 programme, which is intended to replace its replenishment vessels These Supply-class ships can be used to combat environmental pollution at sea, provide logistical support to the armed forces, and support humanitarian and relief operations after natural disasters. Australia awarded a $640 million contract to Navantia for the construction and delivery of the two AOR vessels in May 2016.The HMAS Supply, the first of these two vessels, was launched at the company’s Ferrol facilities in November 2018. The vessel’s sea acceptance tests were completed in August 2020, while its commissioning took place in April of 2021. The vessels were built with a double hull design in accordance with the requirement of the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships (MARPOL) of the International Maritime Organization (IMO). They are logistics support ships equipped with fuel tanks, which allow multiple ships to be refueled and refueled simultaneously, and dry cargo holds in which to store; ammunition, spare parts, food (dry, refrigerated and frozen), as well as pharmaceuticals and medicines. The Fernández Jove Group has been immersed in this project with the collaboration of the group’s companies, offering their value proposition. Hawke Transit System supplied the modular sealing systems for cable and pipe transits. The installed sealing systems provide protection against multiple risks, including electromagnetic pulses and interference and resistance to detonating charges. The choice of our modular sealing systems for cables and pipes responds to the confidence in the quality of our product, the speed of installation that it offers, as well as for facilitating inspection and modification throughout the entire life cycle of the product. We implemented a new cybersecurity system to protect Hawke Transit System effectively against cyberattacks

We shield our systems against possible cyberattacks As a company dedicated to developing sealing systems for cables and pipes that protect the integrity of walls and bulkheads, we are committed to security in general, and to cybersecurity in particular, as one of the most important aspects today to guarantee security of companies. Throughout the last year at Hawke Transit System we have worked continuously to protect our computer system from external attacks, achieving great effectiveness. After the last actions carried out, we have completed the implementation process and we can affirm that our systems at the present time show great robustness to repel cyberattacks. After this implementation phase, we now begin a process of monitoring and continuous updating of the system. The actions carried out protect us from Malware, Ransomware and Phishing attacks, among others. Despite this, we continue to be exposed to attacks that, through the use of fraudulent emails, impersonate the identity of our employees and managers to carry out cyber scams. These types of actions have become very common in recent years, putting many companies in difficult situations. To combat these processes, we have worked together with the security company Cantabria Conecta to implement the digital certification of our emails. All emails from our company will have a digital certification that will verify their authenticity. All those emails that do not contain the certification cannot be considered authentic. Checking this authenticity will be as simple as clicking on the stamp that will accompany the signature. The scourge of cyberattacks has not stopped growing in recent years and although many companies are taking measures in this regard, it is necessary to keep our guard up at all times and not stop updating. The certification of emails is a very good measure to avoid identity theft and to avoid exposing our company to cyber scams. We encourage you all to take the necessary measures to combat this problem by implementing effective defenses in your company such as the digital certificate for all emails. Cyber attacks affect us all, by protecting your company you help protect the entire network of companies and individuals with which you work.
