HTS delivers certified solutions for one of the Gulf region’s most demanding energy programs
The Hydrocarbon CRPO Program by Saudi Aramco is one of the most important infrastructure initiatives supporting the energy sector in the Gulf. It includes a series of high-impact projects aimed at expanding, maintaining, and upgrading facilities for the processing and transport of hydrocarbons across the region.
HTS was selected as a trusted supplier of sealing systems for multiple critical areas within this program. Our role focused on providing reliable sealing solutions for cable and pipe penetrations — a crucial aspect of infrastructure safety, as these access points are vulnerable to the ingress of water, gas, fire, or pressure if not properly protected. The challenge was clear: deliver a safe, adaptable, and durable system capable of performing under demanding conditions, while ensuring full compliance with international safety standards.
An environment where precision is non-negotiable
The facilities involved in this program operate in environments that demand resilience: high humidity, airborne dust, differential pressure, and a constant risk of explosive atmospheres. Every component must withstand these challenges without compromising the performance of the overall system.
In particular, the entry points for cables and pipes often become weak spots if left unsealed or poorly protected. A single failure at these points can result in operational shutdowns, safety incidents, or long-term structural damage — all of which come with significant financial and reputational risks.

The HTS sealing solution
HTS supplied a modular mechanical sealing system, specifically engineered for use in high-risk industrial facilities. This type of solution ensures a tight and certified seal around cables and pipes, forming a physical barrier that blocks the passage of fire, water, or gases — and crucially, does so without relying on foams, sealants, or compounds that degrade over time.
Certified under key international standards including ATEX, IECEx and IP66/IP68, this system proved particularly suitable for classified areas within the Hydrocarbon CRPO Program. Its modular design allowed for efficient installation, quick adaptation on-site, and future expansion without dismantling the entire structure.
More importantly, HTS supported the project from start to finish. Our technical team collaborated with the client throughout the design and product selection process, ensured correct sizing and configuration, and supervised the installation on site. This hands-on approach helped reduce execution time, prevent installation errors, and align outcomes with the project’s technical requirements.
Measurable results and lasting confidence
After installation, the sealing system was tested for pressure, leak resistance, and fire performance. All tests were passed successfully and without issues. Subsequent technical inspections validated the system’s integrity under operational stress, confirming that the HTS solution met — and in some areas exceeded — the expected performance standards.
The client particularly appreciated the flexibility of the system, which allowed for quick adjustments in the field and provided readiness for future modifications without added costs or delays. These features translated into significant long-term value for the facility.
Just as important as the product itself was the support HTS delivered throughout the process. Our ability to understand technical requirements, respond quickly, and maintain clear communication helped build a relationship of trust and reliability — key factors in a project of this scale.
Built-in safety from day one
This case confirms HTS’s role as a reliable partner in environments where safety is non-negotiable. In the oil and gas sector — where volatile materials, harsh conditions, and high-value assets intersect — it’s essential to work with solutions that integrate seamlessly into the real-world pace and complexity of the project.
The sealing system delivered as part of the Hydrocarbon CRPO Program not only performed as expected, but also showed how thoughtful engineering and proactive technical support can reduce operational risks and add tangible value throughout the project lifecycle.
